Meeting Specifications and What This Mean

All varieties of Steelway’s open mesh flooring adhere to the specifications outlined in clause 4.2.4.4 of BS EN ISO 14122-2:2016 and 5.1 of BS 4592-0:2006+A1:2012. In compliance with these standards, the maximum opening is designed to prevent the passage of a sphere with a diameter exceeding 35mm. However, when the working platform is situated above an area where continuous work is conducted, rather than occasional passage, the maximum opening must not allow the passage of a 20mm diameter sphere. In such cases, it is imperative to consider alternative floor types or implement protective measures to prevent the risk of falling objects.
