Railway upgrades, infrastructure, installation & energy absorption
Steelway and group company Oleo International, have joined forces to offer a complete package of products, services and railway installation for energy absorption systems, such as buffers and dampers with bespoke access metalwork fabrications.
They are currently working together on the Baker Street project for London Underground Ltd., where they are supplying a Train Arrester System.
On infrastructure projects, Steelway provide total solutions for access structures such as staircases, walkways, steel platforms, guardrail systems, overhead masts and bespoke fabrications. Current projects include the design, supply and installation of replacement staircases at Ardwick Junction and also passenger access stairs at Altringham Station.
On Heritage projects, Steelway excel in their ability to provide up to date sustainable solutions for the restoration and replacement of many products which have been subject to many years of neglect throughout the railway network. This has resulted in national awards for their involvement on several projects at the highly acclaimed Moor Street Station in Birmingham.
They have also carried out restoration work across a whole range of rail products including fencing, GWR Edwardian and art deco benches, lampposts, lanterns, door plates, period signage and posts.
The expertise of Oleo International lies, in energy absorption technology such as rail impact protection where their products are designed to insulate and protect people and equipment from forces generated either during normal running or from impacts due to equipment or operator error.
The Oleo range of buffers, dampers and fixed end stops are used worldwide across a broad spectrum of applications. They have product ranges suited to both rolling stock and also infrastructure. Oleo supplies products to many worldwide rail customers such as Seimens, Bombardier, Alstom, London Underground Ltd and Network Rail. They also have products approved by the Shanghai Metro System.
