Fuelling Machine West Gantry South End Access Stairs
Under EC 325704 a new stairway has been installed at the South End of the Charge Hall. This replaces the original 7.5 metre ladder, which under today’s standards would not be allowed in one span.
The platform was designed and supplied by Steelway Fensecure and safely installed by Babcock International, without any incidents or accidents.
This new staircase will give personnel a safer route to access and egress the West Gantry and therefore reduces the potential risk of falling from height.
